Vietnam aspires to increase cooperation with UAE

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc assured the Vietnamese Government’s desire to step up its cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) across a variety of fields based on the two nations’ potential while receiving new UAE Ambassador to Vietnam Obaid Saeed Bintaresh Al Dhaheri in Hanoi on July 27.

He said he hopes that during his term in Vietnam, the UAE diplomat will spare no efforts to boost the strong and effective development of bilateral ties in politics, diplomacy, trade, investment, culture, and people-to-people exchange.

Vietnamese agencies will assist him in every possible way to facilitate the fulfillment of his tasks as a contribution to developing the bilateral ties in a more practical and effective fashion.

For his part, Obaid Saeed Bintaresh Al Dhaheri spoke of his appreciation for Vietnam’s socio-economic development achievements, saying that senior UAE leaders always wish to promote all-round cooperation with Vietnam.

In the Middle East-Africa region, the UEA as the largest trade value with Vietnam, he said while hoping that the two countries should come up with numerous measures to improve the efficiency of bilateral trade cooperation in future.

The ambassador suggested PM Phuc instruct relevant Vietnamese agencies to facilitate the grant of visas to UAE citizens so as to boost tourism connection and people-to-people exchange between the two nations.

In his capacity as UAE Ambassador to Vietnam, he pledged his sustained efforts to constantly promote the connections between the two countries’ governments, businesses and people.
