A VND299 billion (USD13.63 million) park has been inaugurated in Hanoi’s Thanh Xuan District.
Nhan Chinh Park covers an area of around 13.23 hectares, including an 8-hectare lake along with a recreation centre and an outdoor sports ground with an area of 5.2 hectares among several other facilities.
The site clearance for the park began in 2003, however, until May 2016, the construction was started and slated for completion in June 2017. So, the work is one year behind schedule.
After the opening ceremony on September 10, many people rushed to visit the park.
People complained about the lack of seating and the bad smell of the lake.
The park is surrounded by many high-rise buildings on Le Van Luong, Khuat Duy Tien and Hoang Minh Giam streets.
From September 10, the park is open to Hanoi’s residents for free, from 6 am to 9 am and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
The lake at the park still faces pollution
