Festivals halted after state president's death

Authorities in Yen Bai and Tuyen Quang provinces have halted all entertainment events due to State President Tran Dai Quang’s sudden death on September 21.
To Hoang Linh, chairman of Tuyen Quang City, also announced that they had halted the Tuyen Citadel Festival 2018 and the first intangible cultural heritage festival which were scheduled to take place from September 21 to 23.
The decisions were issued after State President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang passed away of illness on September 21 in Hanoi. He was state president since April 2016.
Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Week 2018 was halted
The Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Week 2018, as well as a festival to explore the terraced fields of Mu Cang Chai was halted. The opening ceremony of Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Week was supposed to be held at 8 pm on September 21 and the ceremony for terraced field festival was on the following day.To Hoang Linh, chairman of Tuyen Quang City, also announced that they had halted the Tuyen Citadel Festival 2018 and the first intangible cultural heritage festival which were scheduled to take place from September 21 to 23.
