A sedan and SUV from VinFast - Vietnam’s first automobile maker - were officially launched at the 120th Paris Motor Show on October 2.

The sedan is the LUX A2.0 and the SUV the LUX SA2.0.

The style and shape of VinFast’s sedan and SUV were voted upon by more than 62,000 Vietnamese consumers from 20 outlines from four top designers. The two were designed by Ital Design, with Pininfarina completing the interior and engine.

VinFast’s booth at the Show is located at Pavilion 1 - Paris Motorshow exhibition area, next to big names such as Ferrari and Suzuki.

With sophisticated investment and cutting-edge design and technology, the launch marks Vietnam’s entry into the global automobile market.

Its appearance at the Paris Motor Show 2018 comes as a surprise to many professionals in the industry and international media, with it launching its first models just over one year since beginning. Both are highly regarded for their appeal and also meet the highest international standards.

“We are happy to introduce the first Vietnamese automobile brand, VinFast,” Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and Chairwoman of VinFast, told the launch. “The presence of VinFast at the Paris Motor Show not only confirms the position of Vietnamese enterprises but also helps to enter the name of Vietnam on to the global map of automobile manufacturing industries. VinFast wants to declare to the world that Vietnamese have made cars, and that those cars are comparable in quality to those from around the world.”

The double V logo on the motor cars represents Vietnam, Vingroup, and Rising (“Vuon len” in Vietnamese). The Vietnamese and Vingroup symbols are easy to recognize through the floating V logo and the headlights. Embossed lines emerge from the letter V, which symbolizes openness and reach, noting not only the rise of VinFast but also Vietnam.

The Paris Motor Show 2018 - one of the most prestigious and world-class car exhibitions in the world - saw for the first time Vietnamese cars alongside leading brands such as Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini, and Lexus.
