The incident happened at around midnight on Sunday at Citadines Marina Ha Long project invested by BIM Group. The victims were Tran Van Trang, 20, from Tuyen Quang Province and Ban Van Tho, 19, from Yen Bai Province.

According to initial information, the two young men fell from the 4th storey after the floor collapsed.

The cause of the workplace accident is under investigation.

Three workers also died after falling from an apartment building project in Ha Long City in August last year.

A report announced recently by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs indicated that the construction sector is has seen the highest number of fatal work accidents, making up more than 20% of the total workplace incidents across the country.

The country saw close to 9,000 work accidents last year, killing 982 people and injuring more than 9,100 others, the ministry added.
