Strong cold spell to hit northern region

A cold snap has been forecasted to affect the northern region from tomorrow, December 6.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting, the cold weather will cause the north’s temperatures to fall to between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi is expected to have rains and strong wind on the morning of December 7 accompanying the temperature drop.

Many mountainous areas could see the temperature of 11-13 degrees Celcius.

The cold spell has also been predicted to affect provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue.

The National Centre for Hydro-meteorology has said that from late afternoon of December 6, the northern region would face heavy rains.
