Authorities of the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau have mobilised hundreds of people from local military units and several other agencies to help local farmers harvest black pepper.

This time of the year is the pepper harvesting season in Chau Duc District. However, due to the low pepper prices, many households can’t afford people to work on the harvest. As a result, the late harvest has affected productivity.
