98 Hanoi officials punished over construction violations
As many as 98 employees at the Department of Construction in Hanoi have been punished after letting too many violations occur.
They have dealt with 147 cases as of March 25 and have continued working on 85 cases.
Many of them were built in protective forest, Ba Vi National Park or were super thin.
98 employees at the Department of Construction were punished. 72 reprimanded, 16 given warnings, three had their wages lowered, two were demoted and five people were sacked.
20 people were officials at the Department of Construction including two deputy chiefs and 18 heads or deputy heads of divisions.
