Vietnam Expo 2019 underway in Hanoi
The 29th Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo 2019) is being held in Hanoi from April 10 to 13 at the International Centre of Exhibition (ICE).

With the theme “Vietnam Expo - Connecting, Sharing with Success”, Vietnam Expo 2019 has attracted the participation of 500 businesses from 23 countries and territories and has 600 pavilions.
The theme of the expo aims to create connecting and sharing between businesses and localities to improve trade and investment promotion. The organizer has prepared a pavilion for the Vietnam-Korea Design Centre (VKDC), a pavilion on investment promotion and industrial development in Vietnam, and the pavilions of 20 cities and provinces.
The fair again sees the presence of enterprises with national brand names introducing high-quality products with new looks. The changes and improvements to each product will contribute to bolstering the image of Vietnamese enterprises in domestic and international markets.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said new trends and economic developments globally have had a significant impact on multilateral economic cooperation between countries in the region, presenting both opportunities and challenges. The Vietnamese Government has continued to focus on comprehensive international economic integration.
He added that Vietnam’s involvement in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) will provide many opportunities to access export markets, create more jobs, and boost economic growth. “The message from the organizer to domestic and international businesses at Vietnam Expo 2019 is connecting and sharing with success,” he said.
The organizer has also created a number of specific activities to advise and support businesses on trade promotion and investment.
Within the framework of the expo, the Vietnam Export Promotion Forum 2019 will be held to raise production capacity and make the most of the benefits of new-generation trade agreements to increase Vietnam’s profile as a capable, reliable and sustainable exporting country. A workshop on promoting Vietnam’s industrial investment, with the topic “Opportunities for Participation in Global Production and Trade Chains”, meanwhile, will clarify the current advantages and difficulties in production and trade globalization.
A launch ceremony will be held for the Export Program through E-commerce, which aims to support Vietnamese businesses to promote export promotion and brand development through e-commerce, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
