Nguyen Ngoc Thuy, chairman of Apax English-Apax Leaders, gave the money to Pham Huy Hoan, editor-in-chief of Dantri Newspaper and head of the Vietnam Fund For Learning Promotion, on May 13. Hoan thanked Apax English Centre for collaborating with Dantri Newspaper to help disadvantaged pupils in Lai Chau Province.

All of the money will be used to build new classrooms for the pupils at Nam Lot school site in Sin Ho District.

The money was donated at Apax English Centre's graduation ceremony with the theme of Future Leaders. Nearly 400 outstanding students at the centre were honoured for their efforts and achievements. Nguyen Quang Hai, who won Vietnamese Golden Ball Award 2018, also attended the ceremony.

400 students and their parents were given a chance to use new technology at the ceremony such as the AR, VR and holograms.

Apax English Centre has invested in a three-T plan which is good teachers, textbooks and technology to help students thinking in English. Last year, Apax English Centre won Sao Khue Awards for their contribution in the education sector and quick use of new technology. They also won many awards such as the Brand Awards 2018 and earned the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification.
