The victims included two female teachers, Trinh Ngoc Bich Ha, 41, and Vu Van Anh, 26, who were from Le Hong Phong Primary School in Haiphong City.

Ha and Anh joined a delegation including representatives from Haiphong Youth Union, the city’s Youth Centre and some local schools to carry out charitable activities for children in Ha Giang Province.

The coach which transported the 22-member delegation, was hit by a container truck driving in the wrong lane while going through Ham Yen District in Tuyen Quang Province.

The incident also left 10 people injured. Among those, four facing with serious condition has been taken to Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi for the treatment. However, one of them died at Viet Duc Hospital on the morning of July 24 due to serious injures.
