One dead, five missing after a boat sunk by freak wave
A fisherman has died while five others remained missing after a boat sunk by the wave.
The search and rescue mission met many difficulties due to unfavourable weather. At 2 pm, a freight ship discovered and rescued Nguyen Van Thang. However, one fisherman had died and five others are still missing.
The authorities have called for other boats to look out for the missing fishermen.

Nguyen Truong Thanh from Nghe An Province Steering Committee of Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue said on September 5 that they had sent a notice to the Ha Tinh and Quang Binh authorities to help search for the missing fishermen.
The incident occurred to the boat led by Nguyen Van Thang and six other fishermen from Nghe An at 9 am on September 5. While passing through Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province, the boat was suddenly sunken by a huge wave.
