Vietnam’s first quintuplets who live in HCM City have become first-graders.

On September 5, Le Huynh Anh Thu, mother of the quintuplets, took them to attend their new school year’s opening ceremony at Le Van Tam Primary School in District 5.

The children were very eager to take place in the new school year’s opening ceremony

They are the country’s first quintuplets who were born in March 2013 at Tu Du Hospital.

At that time, the mother, 28, managed to successfully deliver three boys and two girls, weighing 2, 1.5, 1.8, 1.3 and 1.3 kilogrammes respectively. The babies were born 33.5 weeks after conception.

The ultrasounds showed only four fetuses, and doctors suggested that she give up one or two fetuses to protect her health. But she refused.
