10 Chinese nationals arrested at a house in Danang

The police in Hai Chau District announced that they had found 10 Chinese nationals without visa to Vietnam after checking a house on Nguyen Lo Trach Street on October 8. All 10 people are from 24 to 31 years old. They do not have any residency information at the local ward or on the police system.

Two people were able to show passports, six only had their IDs and two others couldn't provide any personal papers. According to the police, they had entered Vietnam by crossing the border from late September to early October.

The police also found 15 computers, 11 mobile phones, equipment, VND66.5m and CNY979 at the house. It is suspected that they were involved in an illegal online business and gambling ring. However, they denied owning the devices.

In June, Danang police discovered an illegal online gambling ring and detained 35 Chinese nationals in Vietnam.
