The order followed two recent incidents in which budget carrier VietJet Air’s Airbus A321-271N (NEO) and South Korean Tway Air’s Boeing B737 were damaged by objects which were suspected to have been drones.

The cases occurred during VietJet Air’s HCM City-Phu Quoc flight on October 16 and Tway Air’s Incheon-HCM City flight on September 19.
The PM urged authorities to investigate the incidents.
The government leader has asked the Ministry of Transport to instruct airports and Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation for air traffic management solutions to prevent risks caused by flycams.
The Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Defence need to review regulations on drones.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has been required more tightly supervise the sale of drones.
Authorities in localities should raise public awareness about the risks posed by drones to aviation.
