Six die as boat capsizes in Quang Nam
Six people drowned after a boat capsized in Quang Nam Province on February 25.
Le Tri Thanh, chairman of Quang Nam People's Committee, asked the hydropower plants to stop discharging water during the search. Hundreds of people including the police and locals searched for the missing people. Khuat Viet Hung, the vice-chairman of the National Traffic Committee, also arrived at the scene.
According to Nguyen Huu Vu, vice chairman of Dai Loc District, during the time of the accident, there were strong wind and flush water.
"We have quickly launched the search after receiving the news," Thanh said. "We'll visit the victims' families and help them overcome such pain."
All six of the missing people are related to each other and live in the same village. At 11 pm, the bodies of all missing people were found. Two of the victims are children and one woman was in the fourth month of pregnancy.
