Quang Binh tourist sites reopened

Authorities of the central province of Quang Binh have allowed local tourist sites to open after the suspension due to Covid-19.

The tourist sites in the province, including Phong Nha Cave, Tien Son Cave and Nuoc Mooc Stream will be reopened from today, April 27, but have to conform to Covid-19 prevention regulations.

Tour operators in Quang Binh are boosting promotional programmes to attract visitors. For instance, Jungle Boss will offer the 50% discount for a one-day tour to explore Tra Ang Cave in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.

The tourism numbers to Quang Binh dropped by 27% on-year and 37% against the year target.

In February this year, the total number of visitors to Quang Binh reached 197,000, down 41% on-year.

Tourists sites are required to ensure virus prevention regulations such as hand wash and safe distancing among visitors. Each group of tourists is not permitted to surpass 20 people.
