A Vietnam Airlines flight landed at Danang International Airport on Wednesday, transporting 340 Vietnamese citizens from South Korea affected by the Covid-19 pandemic home.

Most of the passengers on the flight were people aged under 18, students who graduated from South Korean universities, the elderly, sick individuals, tourists, and migrant workers whose work visas have expired.

Right after landing at the airport, all passengers were given a standard medical check-up and moved to quarantine sites.

Under the Vietnamese government’s instruction, the ministries of foreign affairs and transport have co-operated with Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to hold many flights to repatriate Covid-19-hit Vietnamese nationals abroad.

Based on the pandemic situation, more such flights would be conducted in the coming time.
