More Chinese quarantined after illegal entry into Vietnam

Authorities in the southern province of Binh Duong have discovered a group of six Chinese people who entered Vietnam illegally.

The group were found in a car in Di An Town in the central province of Ha Tinh on Tuesday evening. The Chinese failed to show papers that proved legal entry into the country.

The Chinese were sent to Bau Bang District’s Medical Centre for Covid-19 tests. The results have not yet been announced.

Their violation will be dealt with by local authorities following their quarantine time.

Authorities in many cities and provinces have detected hundreds of Chinese people illegally entering Vietnam.

Vietnam has banned entry by foreign nationals since March 22 with exceptions and conditions, including 14-day quarantining on arrival.
