After returning home, the passengers, including many children will have to take Covid-19 tests and quarantine themselves at their home as regulated.

These are VietJet Air’s first domestic flights to get passengers who were stranded due to Covid-19 home.

The firm has run many flights to repatriate Vietnamese nationals from abroad. The airline has also provided free flights to transport thousands of tonnes of essential goods and medical equipment as well as medical staff.

By late July, Vietjet Air had brought nearly 10,000 Vietnamese home.

Meanwhile, on August 10, national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced that it would conduct three flights to take more than 700 tourists from Danang to Hanoi and HCM City on August 12-13. People who booked tickets for Vietnam Airlines to Danang on July 26 and August 31 are allowed to change their ticket free of charge.

Since early February, Vietnam Airlines has operated more than 45 repatriation flights for 13,000 Vietnamese nationals.
