Hanoi ready to receive 1,000 Covid-19 hotspot returnees
Hanoi has prepared facilities to isolate around 1,000 people returning from the central region’s Danang City and Quang Nam Province.
National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will conduct three flights to transport stranded tourists in Danang and Quang Nam to Hanoi on August 12-13. They then will be monitored at the Military School of the Hanoi Capital Command in Son Tay Town.
The people will be provided at least two Covid-19 tests during the time at the quarantine site.
Two five-floor buildings with 64 rooms have been arranged for the quarantine centre. Each room can accommodate 16 people. Each person will enjoy the daily meals worth VND80,000 per day (USD3.47).
Hanoi will also use a field hospital in the outlying district of Me Linh as a quarantine area.
Major General Nguyen Quoc Duyet, chief commander of the Hanoi Capital High Command, checked facilities at the Military School of the Hanoi Capital Command and the field hospital in Me Linh, requesting to ensure the safety of soldiers to avoid community infection.
Hanoi Capital High Command will also quarantine Vietnamese workers coming back from Angola on August 14.
