The Vietnam Office for Seeking Missing Personnel (VNOSMP) and the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) held the 154th Repatriation Ceremony at the People’s Army of Vietnam Forensics Institute in Hanoi on September 24.

US Ambassador to Vietnam, Daniel Kritenbrink, attended the ceremony.

US Ambassador to Vietnam, Daniel Kritenbrink, witnessed the signing over of one set of remains thought to be associated with a US service member still missing from the Vietnam War.

These remains will then be transferred to the DPAA Laboratory in Hawaii for further review.

This ceremony was the culmination of collaborative efforts of the U.S and Vietnam during the 140th Joint Field Activity.

The United States and Vietnam have cooperated for over three decades to fully account for those Americans still missing from the war in Vietnam.

Through a close partnership between the two countries, 728 Americans have been accounted for and returned home to the United States, upholding the promise that "you are not forgotten."
