Storm Saudel weakened on October 24 before entering Vietnam's central regions, but rains are still forecasted from Nghe An to Thua Thien-Hue provinces.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the storm was 160km away from the Paracel Islands as of 4 pm on October 24. The wind speed near the eye of the storm was 100-115km per hour. The radius of maximum wind was 100km.

For the following 24 hours, the storm has moved to the west at the speed of 15km per hour. As of 4 pm on October 25, it will be 120km away from China's Hainan Island. The wind speed near the eye of the storm will be 75-90km per hour.

All ships and boats working on the East Sea will be affected by the strong winds and high waves.

For the next 24 to 48 hours, the storm will keep moving to the east at the speed of 15-20km per hour and land in the central region before weakening into a tropical depression.

As of 4 pm on October 26, the storm will weaken into a low-pressure area in Laos. The wind speed will be less than 40km per hour.

From October 24 to 26, rains and heavy rains are forecast for provinces from Nghe An to Thua Thien-Hue. The rainfall will be around 50-100mm.
