From November 15 and December 14, 1,525 traffic accidents occurred nationwide, killing 652 people and injuring 1,152 others, down 13.45%, 0.61% and 22.27% on-year respectively.

Earlier, Khuat Viet Hung, vice chairman of the National Committee for Traffic Safety, said that the Law on Alcohol Harm Prevention and Control and Decree 100 on fines for drunk driving which have taken into effect early this year helped to reduce traffic accidents.
