Authorities of the northern province of Hai Duong are calling for Covid-19 vaccine support from India, said a provincial official.

Under the proposal, the province expects to receive 200,000-300,000 doses of Made-in-India Covid-19 vaccine from the Indian government. The vaccines would be used for high-risk frontline medical workers in the fight against Covid-19.

The Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises’ Invest Global Centre earlier proposed that the Indian Embassy in Vietnam supply Covid-19 vaccines for Hai Duong Province. According to the embassy, the Indian government is willing to provide 200,000-300,000 Made-in-India Covid-19 vaccine doses for the province. This kind of vaccine has been widely used in India and supplied for many other countries in the world.

Following the Invest Global Centre’s move, Hai Duong authorities sent the letter to the embassy to recommend the vaccine aid, Hon noted
