Truong Van Hon, chief office manager of the Hai Duong People’s Committee, said that the province has sent a letter of proposal to the Indian Embassy in Vietnam for non-refundable Covid-19 vaccine aid.
Under the proposal, the province expects to receive 200,000-300,000 doses of Made-in-India Covid-19 vaccine from the Indian government. The vaccines would be used for high-risk frontline medical workers in the fight against Covid-19.
The Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises’ Invest Global Centre earlier proposed that the Indian Embassy in Vietnam supply Covid-19 vaccines for Hai Duong Province. According to the embassy, the Indian government is willing to provide 200,000-300,000 Made-in-India Covid-19 vaccine doses for the province. This kind of vaccine has been widely used in India and supplied for many other countries in the world.
