The donation of VND237 million granted to the boy's family
On September 24, a reporter from Dantri/DTiNews granted VND237 million for the six-year old boy Nguyen Thanh Duong’s family in Ganh Hao Town at the witness of Nguyen Hong Cam, vice chairwoman of Dong Hai District.
Duong’s mother Nguyen Thi Huoi expressed her deep thanks. “Our family has never seen such a large amount of money. We’re really grateful to donors. I’ll use the money to cover my son’s treatment,” Huoi added.
The financial support followed an article about Huoi’s family that had been published in the newspaper.
Huoi’s husband and her eldest child are still stuck in the country’s Covid-19 epicentre of HCM City. Due to the pandemic outbreak, their job is seriously affected. Meanwhile, Duong’s condition has worsened and needs urgent treatment.
Quach Hong Nhien, vice chairwoman of Ganh Hao Town, also thanked the community’s assistance to the boy’s family.
