Many localities close schools again due to Covid-19 infections
Many localities in Vietnam have temporarily closed schools again after local students were confirmed as Covid-19 cases.
In Ha Giang Province, all students from nursery to high schools in Ha Giang City have been allowed to stay at home from today, October 27 after a student in Grade 1 in Ngoc Ha Ward tested positive for Covid-19.
Dinh Quan District in the southern province of Dong Nai has recorded an additional 47 Covid-19 patients. Under local authority instructions, students in Grade 1, 2 and 6 will stay at home from November 1.
Meanwhile, up to hundreds of people in Nam Tra My District have tested positive for Covid-19 with the majority being students. All schools in the district have been temporarily closed for Covid-19 prevention.
Over the past week, several provinces have announced the school closure again following new Covid-29 infections, Nam Dinh, Quang Binh, Bac Ninh, Kon Tum, Quang Ninh and Thanh Hoa.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, by October 25, 23 cities and provinces in Vietnam had allowed their students to return to school.
