Vietnam receives 200,000 doses of India’s Covid-19 vaccine
Vietnam has received 200,000 doses of India’s Bharat Biotech Covaxin for Covid-19 prevention.
The Covaxin batch was brought to Noi Bai International Airport on Sunday evening along with the return of a delegation of the Vietnamese officials led by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue from his visit to India.

The Covid-19 vaccination in Vietnam
Managing Director of Bharat Biotech Suchitra Ella, pledged to provide Vietnam 200,000 doses of Covaxin vaccines at a meeting with National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on December 16,
Vietnam will use this vaccine for children under 18.
On November 3, the World Health Organisation approved the urgent use of the Covaxin vaccine for Covid-19 prevention.
On this occasion, India’s Optimus Pharma in collaboration with Vietnam’s Mekophar- Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company will transfer technology and deliver one tonne of raw materials to process 4.7 million tablets of Movinavir 200mg to treat Covid-19 patients.
