Victims of severe floods in southern China raced on Wednesday to salvage property from the muddy waters, as authorities warned of more heavy rains to come.

More than 100,000 people have been evacuated due to heavy rain and fatal floods in southern China, with the government issuing its highest-level rainstorm warning for the affected area on Tuesday.

One died and seven people were missing Sunday after an accident overnight in which two Japanese military helicopters apparently collided before crashing into the sea, officials said.
