Hanoi sees slight CPI rise in November

Hanoi's consumer price index (CPI) in November increased by 0.29% against last month and 18.49% over the same period last year, the Hanoi Statistics Office announced on November 21.


This was the first time since June 2011 the city’s year-on-year CPI growth has been less than 20%.

This month, nine out of 11 commodities groups saw slight price increases, ranging from 0.25% to 0.88%.

The two other groups, including transportation, and post and telecommunications services, enjoyed price falls of 0.23% and 0.02%, respectively.

Gold price in Hanoi was up 0.11% against last month and 32.62% year-on-year. Meanwhile the respective increases for the US dollar were 0.68% and 2.26%.
