Poor traffic infrastructure in Ho Chi Minh City has negatively impacted the luxury hotel business.

Ho Chi Minh City disappointed international tourists for its poor traffic infrastructure

This was the opinion of Robert Mclntosh, Managing Director of CBRE (CB Richard Ellis) Hotel Group in the Asia Pacific region.

Robert Mclntosh said that most guests staying at luxury hotels in Vietnam do so for business and the traffic infrastructure of Ho Chi Minh City has disappointed business travelers.

This has caused business travelers to choose other cities even though the facilities of luxury hotels in Ho Chi Minh are said to be the best in the country.

McIntosh also added that most international visitors who came to the city for the first time did not want to come back. He pointed out, “Only when tourists feel comfortable traveling in the city, will they visit city again.”

According to CBRE Vietnam, 65% of guests staying at luxury hotels in Vietnam travel here for business. They often come to attend conferences, seminars and find time to visit the city where their events organised.
