Vinh went on to say that currently there is only one American investor in Khanh Hoa. The resort project at Van Phong Economic Zones valued at USD2.65m.

Last year, Khanh Hoa welcomed 4.5 million visitors with 1.5 million international tourists, bringing in VND8.4trn (USD369m) in revenue. However, that included just 30,000 American tourists. Vinh hoped to boost the investments from the US in Khanh Hoa and said he was happy to show the US delegation the potential and advantages of the province.

Matthews said he appreciated the welcome from Khanh Hoa Province and preparation for the APEC Senior Officials’ Meeting. He went on to say that Khanh Hoa has the infrastructure that meet international standards and that it is a lively and modern province. He also hopes more people would visit Nha Trang as it was a wonderful city.

If Khanh Hoa focuses on improving business environment more US investors would come. Matthews believed that many Americans would invest in Khanh Hoa in the near future.
