Lam Dong licenses adventure tourism firms

Authorities of the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong have licensed 10 companies to organise adventure tours.

Eleven firms had asked for permission from the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for being licensed. 

 

Zipline is among the licensed adventure tours in Lam Dong Province.


They meet all requirements for adventures tours such as equipment, rescue work and other factors to ensure safety for travellers and well as tour guides.

Tuyen Lam Lake, Datanla Waterfall, Dasar Waterfall and Thung Lung Vang tourist site, Madagui area and Da Don River will be the focus of adventure tourism activities.

The companies are allowed to organising the activities such as trekking, ziplines, and canoeing to cross a waterfall.

The province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also held training courses on adventure tours for 60 tour guides from the 10 licensed companies.

Five people including four foreign tourists and a Vietnamese tour guide have died while participating in adventure tours in Da Lat. A Polish male traveller and a Vietnamese tour guide were found dead in the province’s Da Lat City in February after an accident. They were member of an adventure tour organised by Giac Mo Vang Ltd.Co which had not yet been licensed for adventure tourism.
