Vietjet named among Forbes’ top 50 listed companies

The company was honoured for its business achievements in the first half of the year.

In the six month period, Vietjet earned more than VND16.4 trillion (US$721.7 million) in total revenue and pocketed VND1.79 trillion (US$78.8 million) in net profit, up 45% from the same period last year.

The company’s Earning Per Share (EPS) was recorded at VND5,737.

By June 30, Vietjet’s total assets reached over VND24.7 trillion (US$1.08 billion) and equity of VND7.3 trillion (US$321.2 million), annual increases of 49.6% and 11.9%, respectively.

According to Forbes, the top 50 companies’ market capitalisation occupied more than 60% of the total market on the two bourses, the same as the previous year. Their total revenue stood at VND734.8 trillion (US$32.3 billion), up 55% annually, while their profits picked up by 49% to VND79.46 trillion (US$3.49 billion).

Forbes Vietnam’s top 50 best listed companies’ rankings acknowledge firms with the best business and financial performances listed on the local stock exchanges.
