Vietnam Cafe Show attracts 100 leading coffee brands

A press conference was held in HCM City to introduce the 2018 Vietnam Cafe Show which is set to take place at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), HCM City from May 3-5.

As many as 200 pavilions from more than 100 local and foreign coffee brands will display products such as coffee, tea, beverages, cakes, state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, desserts, interior decoration for coffee shops, franchises and startups. The event will serve as a forum for businesses at home and abroad to share experiences and knowledge in the field of coffee.

In what promises to be a highlight of the event, the Vietnam National Barista Championship (VNBC) will be held for the first time in Vietnam in accordance with the standards of a World Coffee Event (WCE). The competition will be an opportunity for baristas to shine and add impetus to the development of Vietnam’s coffee market.

The winners of the competition will get the chance to compete at the 2018 World Barista Championships being held in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.

At the expo, visitors will also be able to learn and participate in impressive performances with baristas such as Coffee Training Station, Sweet Class, Vietnam Beverage Battle, and visit Cherry’s Choice area, which will feature displays of the latest products in the coffee industry.

Coffee growers and international entrepreneurs, through the event, can expand the scale of trade exchange, thus bringing an increase in the quantity and quality of Vietnamese coffee.

Last year, the exhibition attracted 100 world famous coffee brands and more than 40,000 visitors.
