The northern central province of Thanh Hoa has proposed construction of a VND3.077 trillion (USD139.86 million) coastal road.

The route would run from Hoang Hoa District to Sam Son Town for 10.5 kilometres long and from Quang Xuong to Tinh Gia districts for 14.5 kilometres. The project will be carried out under a build, operate and transfer model.

VND2.154 trillion would be sourced from government funds, with the remainder raised by the investor.

The province has prepared for construction of the 45-kilometre section costing VND3.98 trillion (USD180.90 million) running through Sam Son Town, Quang Xuong District and Nghi Son Economic Zone.

These projects are part of the government’s project to build a 610-km coastal route from the northern province of Quang Ninh to the central province of Nghe An.
