Black Friday promotions colour Hanoi streets
Many stores in Hanoi have offered discounts in the run-up to the Black Friday weekend.
This year Black Friday in Vietnam saw many stores offer discounts from November 21 to 25. Some retailers have extended the sales to the end of November. However many famous brands have ignored the sales period.
Sale signs can be seen everywhere on the streets of Hanoi, especially along Chua Boc or Cau Giay, where there are a large number of fashion stores. Most of the stores are offering 50% discounts, but some stores are even offering discounts of up to 70% or 90%. The sales weekend has coincided with a cold snap, which may encourage Hanoi shoppers.
