A worker who has been working at the firm for nearly seven years said that the company pledged to raise meal value to VND18,500 (79 US cent) from the current VND16,500. The workers had been promised a 45-minute break in the middle of the 12-hour working shift and the break time for the 8-hour shift would be increased to 30 minutes. However, the company has not yet implemented this.

"In fact, the break is just 15-20 minutes”, the worker said.

They also complained about low pay and the quality of the meals.

Representatives from the provincial Confederation of Labour have worked with the company, asking them to ensure the rights of the employees.
