The air routes consist of flights linking Hanoi, HCM City and Danang and New Delhi and Mumbai.

Vice state president Thinh said that the flights will help to intensify the comprehensive strategic relationship between Vietnam and India. She hoped that Vietjet will conduct more flights to other foreign markets in the future.

She added that she will lead a Vietnamese delegation to visit India soon and they will experience the VIP Hanoi-New Delhi flight service.

The Danang-New Delhi and Hanoi-Mumbai routes will commence operations starting from May 14, 2020 with a frequency of five flights per week and three flights per week respectively.

Meanwhile, the HCM City-Mumbai routes will operate four weekly flights from May 15, 2020.

By the end of last year, the airline launched HCM City/Hanoi-New Delhi services at a frequency of four weekly flights and three weekly flights, respectively.

Vietnam News Agency cited Vietjet Vice President Nguyen Thanh Son as saying that, “We are excited to continue connecting Vietnam’s destinations to the market of over 1.2 billion people in India after receiving positive feedback regarding our previous two direct flights that linked both HCM City and Hanoi and New Delhi”.
