Illegally built shops to be removed in Nha Trang
Authorities in Khanh Hoa Province are going to remove seven showrooms which have been illegally built to serve Chinese tourists in Nha Trang City.

Under a decision issued by vice chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Le Huu Hoang, the seven showrooms being removed include May Man Silk Shop, Bui To Hung Shop, Only Love Jewellery Shop, some apartments for rent behind Phuc Lai Company, Cao Hung Restaurant, Vietnamese Specialties Shop, and Xin Chao Flore.
According to local authorities, they will ask owners of these shops to remove the facilities themselves and if they fail to follow, the authorities will do the work with expenses collected from the shops later.
It is estimated that the expenses for removing each facility are between VND600 million (USD26,087) and VND 2 billion (USD86,956).
The shops which are mostly located on Nguyen Tat Thanh Road were built with an area of between 1,000-5,000m square metres.
Each shop can serve thousands of customers a day. They have been closed for the past nine months due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Earlier the illegal construction and operation of these shops has been debated at a provincial meeting at the end of 2019.
