Thousands of suspected counterfeit products seized in HCM City shopping mall

During their check at six stores in one of the city's biggest shopping malls, authorities seized nearly 2,000 suspected fake products bearing some popular brands, including Gucci, Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Adidas, Nike, and Hermes.
Speaking to Dantri/Dtinews, General Director of General Department of Market Management Tran Huu Linh said they had conducted checks at several major shopping centres in the city including Saigon Square specifically targeting counterfeit products.
"We checked Saigon Square on November 1 and 2 and discovered thousands of suspected smuggled, counterfeit products," he said. "The shop owners failed to show proof of origin for their products. We temporarily seized nearly 2,000 products for further investigation."
Saigon Square is a popular shopping destination in HCM City's District 1. Customers can find famous brand products at varied prices.
