Hanoi shopping malls fail to attract customers
Many shopping malls in Hanoi have failed to attract customers, even at weekends.
On Saturday, Vincom Centre Ba Trieu in Hai Ba Trung District saw only a small number of customers.
Some stalls at Vincom Centre Ba Trieu have closed.
The same situation is seen at Vincom Mega Mall Royal City in Thanh Xuan District with many shops having stopped their operation.
Some shops have not yet been leased.
Several fashion shops at Lotte Centre Hanoi in Ba Dinh District’s Lieu Giai Street were quite deserted on Saturday.
Besides the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, online shopping has become more popular, which is among the reasons for the fall in customers.
Stalls at Aeon Mall Long Bien in Long Bien District also faced a lack of customers despite great promotive programmes being offered.
