The MTAA target to honor prominent achievements of travel agencies in the greater Mekong sub-region (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam) with quality and excellence in tourism and hospitality.

Earlier, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National on August 14 was awarded its second UNESCO certificate as the World Natural Heritage Site.

The park was first recognized by UNESCO in July 2003 for its outstanding geological and geomorphologic values. There are over 2,934 species of flora and 800 species of fauna of which some animals are recorded in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List.

The national park is also famous for cave systems with diverse geology, geomorphology and ecosystems, is one of the most popular destinations in Southeast Asia with many tourism sites such as Phong Nha cave, Tien Son Cave, Son Doong Cave, Thien Duong (Paradise) Cave, Dark Cave.

In America, ABC’s "Good Morning America" program broadcast live footage of the caves of En and Son Doong at the World Natural Heritage Site of Phong Nha - Ke Bang in Quang Binh province. This is the first time a place in Vietnam ha been broadcast live to the American audience.
