The information was announced at a press conference last week by the museum’s owner, Tuong Sap Viet Company.

The museum will display over 100 wax statues of late and current celebrities who have had great contributions to the art field of Vietnam.

There will be a special corner to exhibit photos of artists in their daily life and on stage taken by veteran journalist Thanh Hiep.

All the proceeds from ticket sales will be spent on charitable activities for poor artists and unlucky people.

Thai Ngoc Binh, one of the three artisans at Tuong Sap Viet Company, said that they have spent around VND35 billion on establishing the museum.

They expect to carry out more wax projects with different themes of Vietnam’s culinary and religion in the near future.

The museum’s owners also show their expectation to receive more orders for wax statues from companies, museums and religion organizations nationwide and overseas.

The income from guests’ orders would help them to maintain the operation of the wax museum.

Tuong Sap Viet Company is established by three artisans, namely Nguyen Van Dong, Nguyen Thi Dien and Thai Ngoc Binh, who have come to many places in the world to learn about the techniques of making wax statues during the past 16 years.

Those experience and knowledge have helped the trio to make statues that have strong resemblance to real people.

Visitors can admire the wax museum at Hoa Binh Theater at 240 Ba Thang Hai Street, District 10, HCMC.
