Hanoi’s famous temple applies dress code to visitors

Visitors who come to Ngoc Son Temple in inappropriate clothes can now be provided with a coat by the temple management board to ensure the dress code.
The temple management board has prepared 100 sets of clothes to lend to tourists who wear short skirts or unsuitable clothes.
Every day, Ngoc Son Temple receives hundreds of domestic and foreign visitors. Many tourists are unaware of clothing issues when visiting temples or pagodas.
Ngoc Son Temple has arranged two staff members to stand at the gate to lend visitors with inappropriate clothing free coats before visiting the temple.
Hoang Minh Vuong, a tourist from the central province of Quang Binh, said that he strongly supported the idea.

Head of the temple’s management board Nguyen Duc Vuong said that this idea is aimed to respond to Hanoi People’s Committee instruction on code of behaviour at public places.
