Train connecting Hue - Nha Trang to be launched
The Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR) has announced the launching of its two tourist trains NH1 and NH2, connecting Nha Trang and Hue, from May 19.
NH1 train will depart from Hue at 4.08pm and arrive in Nha Trang at 6.18am (next day) while the NH2 train will depart from Nha Trang at 8.45am and arrive in Hue at 10.39pm.
Passengers will be picked up at Ninh Hoa, Gia, Tuy Hoa, Dieu Tri, Bong Son, Duc Pho, Quang Ngai, Nui Thanh, Tam Ky, Tra Kieu, Da Nang and Cau Hai stations. It will have four-bed and six-bed sleeper compartments and soft-seat carriages.
On the occasion, VNR will offer a promotion programme from May 19 to August 31, with 1,000 tickets priced at just VND10,000 ($0.44).
In addition, tickets for the NH1 and NH2 trains from May 19 to August 31 will be offered 30% discounts for individual tickets; 40%-50% discounts for group tickets.
These trains aim to develop tourism of central coastal localities and to help connect the famous tourist attractions of Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An, Phu Yen and Nha Trang together.
