Hanoi's Turtle Tower to join Ireland's Global Greening initiative
The Turtle Tower at the Hoan Kiem Lake will go green to celebrate Ireland's National Day as part of the Tourism Ireland's annual Global Greening initiative.
The Irish Embassy in Hanoi has announced that the Turtle Tower in Hanoi will join with 300 iconic landmarks of 32 countries world-wide to lit up green on the St Patrick’s Day this year.
The initiative, which celebrates the island of Ireland and St Patrick, first began in 2010 in Sydney and Auckland and has gone strength to attract more and more sites each year since then.
After the ceremony, many cultural activities introducing Irish folk music and dances will be organised to boost the cooperation development between Ireland and Vietnam, the embassy said.
