Vietnamese trade and tourism promoted in Northeast China
The Vietnamese Embassy in China and the authorities of Liaoning province, China, held a programme to introduce Vietnamese culture, tourism and trade in Shenyang city, Liaoning province, on June 29.
The bilateral trade revenue between Vietnam and China exceeded US$100 billion in 2017 and the total number of visitors between the two countries reached more than 10 million last year.
Vietnam is currently China’s largest trade partner among the ASEAN countries and China’s eighth largest trade partner in the world, Ambassador Khoi noted.
He said that Vietnam always welcomes and creates favourable conditions for Chinese firms to invest and operate in Vietnam, with priority given to high-tech and green projects.
The local authorities of Shenyang city praised the Vietnamese Embassy in China and the parties concerned for bringing the people of Shenyang closer to Vietnam through the promotion and introduction of Vietnamese culture and trade in the city.
On the occasion, enterprises of both sides gathered to discuss cooperation programmes. At the event, the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines launched the Shenyang – Nha Trang direct flight to facilitate tourism and trade between the two localities.
