Phong Nha-Ke Bang to be introduced at Hollywood

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in the central province of Quang Binh will be introduced in a Hollywood cinema on January 23, said head of the province’s department of tourism.

Accordingly, the natural beauty of Quang Binh will be presented to U.S. film producers, directors, actors and media groups.


Later from January 25-27, Quang Binh representatives will attend the New York Times Travel Show in New York to popularize the world’s largest cave system Son Doong.

Following the event, Quang Binh will invite Hollywood producers, scriptwriters, directors and actors to the province for sightseeing.

It is the first time a Vietnamese province will introduce its local images to the world’s movie capital.

Quang Binh was among the three Vietnamese localities chosen for the shooting of parts of the 2017 Hollywood blockbuster “Kong: Skull Island”.

Quang Binh is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Phong Nha -Ke Bang National Park and the world’s largest cave Son Doong.

The total number of visitors to Quảng Bình in 2018 was estimated at 3.9 million, up 18.2% compared to the same period last year.

This is also the largest number of visitors that Quang Binh Province has ever received.

Foreign visitors were estimated at 200,000, up 53.8%, and total revenue from tourism is close to US$193 million, up 20.3%.
