Ha Long Bay entry tickets return to pre-pandemic rates
Entry tickets to the UNESCO World Heritage site Ha Long Bay will return to their former rates set before the Covid-19 pandemic from July 1.
Ha Long Bay has witnessed a recovery in tourist numbers after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The bay currently receives around 10,000 visitors daily, equal to the number before the Covid-19 pandemic, and even nearly 30,000 visitors on some peak summer days. The number of foreign travellers to the bay is expected to increase again from the fourth quarter of this year.
According to the Quang Ninh Provincial Tourism Department, the province welcomed over 4.2 million visitors in the first five months of this year, up 79 percent on-year; and made a revenue of over VND 8.80 trillion, up eight percent on the target.
Tourist boats on Ha Long Bay
The northern province of Quang Ninh offered half-priced entry tickets to Ha Long Bay and other tourist sites in the area during the first half of 2022 in an attempt to promote tourism activities after the Covid-19 pandemic.
As the promotion period ends on June 30, tickets for daily tours to Ha Long Bay will cost between VND200,000- 250,000 per visitor from July 1.
